Larry Marlow
Larry Marlow is CEO and Principal of Marlow Hampshire and Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology, Sydney. He consults widely to Universities, medical research institutes, health care and scientific organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand as well as with commercial and public sector organisations.
He has particular expertise in assisting the development of researchers, scientists and professionals through tailored programs to meet development needs at different stages of their careers and systemically to build integrated leadership ecosystems for organisation capability development.
Contributor to System change
He has been selected by the Dept of Prime Minister & Cabinet to facilitate the national Aboriginal Reconciliation Council; by the NSW Health Minister to chair the bellwether multidisciplinary committee charged with changing the legal and professional boundaries between medicine and nursing (Nurse Practitioner Committee); and the NSW Minister for Corrections to manage a 6-year change management project to transform the culture of prisons. He has assisted strategic thinking and planning for Executive Teams at Curtin and La Trobe Universities, Health Victoria and Baker Heart Research Institute amongst other significant organisations, has consulted for the World Health Organisation (WHO) in China and Bangladesh and is an Advisor to Artolution, a New York based charity assisting the humanisation of refugee camps globally.
Collaborative approach
He is an Associate of Australia’s most prominent Business Schools (AGSM, Melbourne Business School, MGSM) teaching in Executive development programs as well as conducting an international program for nurse leaders and surgeons. He has partnered with AHEIA to conduct a national program to reduce bullying & harassment in Universities, The Australian Academy of Science to develop early and mid-career researchers and with The Business & Higher Education Round Table (BHERT).
He has provided thought leadership to Australia Post on the development of career pathways and to Boral on a workforce planning and management strategy for ageing gasfitters.
Larry is a past member of Council for the Research Institute for Asia & the Pacific and for the Editorial Board of the Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources.
He provides Executive coaching services as well as trains mentors and coaches within organisations.
